Dining Guide

  • Hays City Store – Family friendly restaurant with comfort food and great burgers! They just added The Ice House which provides more bar and cocktail seating, 40 beers on tap, TV’s, and a wood fire pizza oven. Check their Facebook page to see their daily specials.
  • Leaning Pear – Situated on the Creek, this unique spot has seating in both the modern open concept indoor section and an extensive outdoor patio. On a nice day request to dine in the screened porch. Their iced tea is the best tea that I’ve ever had.
  • Trattoria Lisina – Located next door to the Mandola Estate Winery, this Tuscan inspired setting will totally blow you away. They create a seasonal menu full of Italian classics with handmade pasta.
  • Jobell Bistro – Charming little cottage tucked into an oak grove. The ambiance is perfect for date night – cute, romantic and great music to match. Start your dinner off with their amazing charcuterie slate.
  • Ino’z Brew & Chew – One of the few restaurants opened 7 days a week in Wimberley. You definitely want to sit outside on their large shaded deck with stage and a view of Cypress Creek. There is a huge lawn you’ll see kids running and playing on while the adults kick back with a Mexican martini – so good you are only allowed 2.
  • Salt Lick BBQ – Everyone must experience this world-renowned barbecue. The open pit’s flaming live oak and the tendrils of sausage hanging above mesmerizes people as they walk-in the door. It is BYOB and cash only so plan accordingly!
  • Kate’s Place – Nice casual setting tucked away from the hustle and bustle with indoor seating and outdoor patio. A favorite spot for weekend brunch. Say hi to Ruben the cat as you go in.
  • Creekside Cookers BBQ – Kelly and his wife Melody use pecan wood to slow smoke brisket, pork ribs, sausage, chicken, pulled pork. Get some coleslaw, corn soufflé and peach cobbler to top off an amazing meal. My top recommendation for any catering needs.
  • Linda Allen’s Fine Foods – Great food and great service in a very inviting and cozy atmosphere. The outdoor seating is a very relaxing hang out spot that feels like sitting in a friend’s back yard. They also do fantastic catering!
  • Wimberley Café – Old-timey diner setting serving breakfast dishes, sandwiches & homestyle meals. Located in the center of the Wimberley downtown square.
  • Brewster’s Pizza – Owned and operated by Bruce Collie, former San Francisco 49’er and Philadelphia Eagle Player along with his family of 14! Enjoy delicious pizza and beer on tap. Great place to watch a sports games.
  • Milargo’s Tex-Mex – Tex Mex with a Hill Country Twist. The Crab Stuffed Jalapeño appetizer is a personal favorite. They also have a great selection of margaritas.
  • Pho-Lisha’s Food Truck– Asian and Cajun menu items, probably not a combination you see together very often. Using the ingredients found in traditional Vietnamese pho, they wrap them all up in a flower tortilla, crisp it on the grill, and serve it with seasoned broth for dipping. They also serve delicious etouffee, jambalaya, and red beans and rice.
